Modality
Cardinal, fixed or mutable: whether a sign starts things, sustains them or adapts.
Cardinal signs open each season and like to initiate. Fixed signs sit mid-season and like to keep going. Mutable signs close the season and like to adapt. Together with element, modality gives each sign its character.
